Patti that looks wonderful.

I got my group tickets today for the Mann. Somewhere in Orchesta A. I am there and that's all I care about.

Got a ticket for Joy and her daughter, Ellen, Cindy A, Mary Lou and myself. Went online during work and it only took me five minutes. I had it all set up and prepared for.
Hope they are decent seats. I asked for the first seven rows or closer LOL. We'll see.

I think Mary from MD needs a ticket if anyone got an extra one. SuZen did you get some tickets today????

I am happy I don't have to worry about getting a ticket now. I need someone to go to the North Carolina concerts and share the room and renting a car expenses with???

I will fly down on Thursday August 9 and come home on August 12. It is very reasonable to fly to Raleigh. I think I saw $103.00 both ways. Let me know! If not, I may do it alone because that is how much I want to see him in NC.

Luvies and Hugs,

Hi Dotty, glad you got tickets to the Mann! Not sure what I am doing for NC. EVERYONE wants to go to NC so I see getting a ticket as a real challenge! I am waiting to see what happens before and after. I plan on driving, if I go, and stopping off to see my son in DC. I am hoping there will be a concert on the way down. So for now I am "on hold".

Hopefully, we will see the final list this week!

Cheyanne.....my condolences (and mucho hugs) on the loss of your beloved Daisy. I can't believe that you and Ann both lost your 4 legged family members in such a short period of time! And what is even sadder, and weirder, is that my daughter's boyfriend lost HIS dog of 15 years and my co-worker lost HER kitty of 16 years during the same time frame. Never have I known a period of time during which so many people I care about have lost their pets. It is so sad.

And Sue...thanks for asking about my kitty Travis. It's been about 3 weeks now since his renal failure was diagnosed, and during this time, I've been giving him subQ fluids every day and meds for the high BP and sick tummy which are "side" effects of having bad kidneys. He is hanging in there....he has such a strong will to live and he and I are bonded in a way that is spooky.....I think he keeps going in order to stay with me. But he just doesn't eat much at all - he is continually losing weight - so I have to accept the fact that his time is limited. It sucks so much.

But for Cheyanne and Ann, I wanted to share a quote with you. Dr. Patrick Glidden, a vet with the Michigan Humane Society...when asked if he believed that animals have souls, said this:
Quote:
To see a soul, look at an animal you know. Most of us can say, "My dog or cat is a distinct individual, with a distinct personality." That relationship shows the animal's soul. When I look into the eyes of an injured animal, I see pain, torment and confusion. But I believe that after euthanasia an animal's soul leaves his or her body and goes to the Creator. Animals are such innocents. Why wouldn't God want to surround Himself with their goodness - the goodness of creations that didn't reject Him, as we did?

P.S. Dotty....I would go to NC with you in a heartbeat if I could take time off from work in August, but alas, I can't cuz everyone else in my dept. is taking off then. Sad

Here I go, again. Hey I'm back after trying to figure out how to do this! It took me 2 days to realize that my name on this board Irene, my biological name. I usually use yellowmedflower, which is short for my Native American name, Yellow Medicine Flower. I was named in NM on an Indian Reservation . Long story.

First of all, I want to send my hearfelt sympathy to Annie, and
Cheyaane
. What more can I say? I know what you're going through. I once read a quote, You can tell a person's soul by the way thay treat their dogs." Say no more!

Ticket Frenzy!!!!!!! I refuse to get caught up in that. Another quote from a Yogi ( Swammi Kreananda )," In the center of life's storms I stand serene." Can we say that as our Mantra as we purchase tickets? How is everyone holding up?

I have a great idea. Let's camp out in NC for concert tickets, since I hear they will be impossible to get. Patti? Pat? Up for that?
Just kidding! LOL!

I wanted to thank all of you for making the few days before "Hell Week" wonderful. The CBF are always so much fun! Welcome to the Newbies, as I look forward to more wonderful times together.

If anyone would like to stay at my house after the Mann, in Philly, you are welcome. I was reading just a little of these pages and thought I read that somewhere. OPEN HOUSE always.

For those of you who left messages on my voice mail, I want to take the time to say, "I'm sorry Smile[b]. The past 3 weeks have been out of control. With Anthony being able to drive now, it makes things alot better.

I love and miss everyone! Can we, maybe see each other before the concerts start??

Hugs and misses and kisses!

Irene

ps. Anyone planning on going to NH?

I sure those of you who keep on top of things have seen this but here some songs that supposedly Clay will sing:

Clay will be performing hits such as I Want To Know What Love Is, For Once In My Life, Moon River, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Measure Of A Man.

Personally I think he would sing Moon River so beautifully. Oh hell anything he sings will be great! For Once in my life would sound great too. You know him, he always surprises us. Oh I can't wait.. why does everyone have to make such a big deal about what he sings? Everyone knows they will swoon and cry so what does it matter?

I survived the weekend - we had four of our granddaughters - two - three year olds and two - six year olds. We had soooo much fun - but we were soooo tired when they went home!!!

Patti - I'm with you, I can't wait to hear him sing Moon River - even since we heard him sing that tiny bit during the interview with DS - and I also agree he can sing pretty much anything, he always "brings it"!

I want to thank everyone for the condolences on Daisy - we miss her, but know that she's with her best buddy, Lady, once again.

Yeah, Irene's back - good to see you posting once again and yes, it would be wonderful to see each other before concert season - if only I can find the time - it's a very busy time for me - gardening season.

Hi Patti - did you see any pictures yet from the gala? Joanne NC called me when it was over - she said Clay looked hawt with the beard/mustache/dark hair! Can't wait for the clack......

Dotty - I hope you had a fun time at the NOT A GALA - I wanted to go, but we already had plans for today - wine tasting tour through Central PA - exhausting but fun!

Okay, I'm going back to bed - had to get up and see if there was any clack yet, but I've only seen the pics from the WRAL vid!

OMG!!!! Pictures are up at LBFCA, CB and CH from last night's Gala!!! Boyfriend is HAWT !!!!

Sounds like lots of $$$ was raised for BAF, way to go!! It would be great if next year's gala was a bit closer and we could all attend!!

I still can't get over his tongue in the ring!!! It is a visual I will carry with me for a while!! The room is suddenly getting very warm!!

Changing gears...I hope everyone is well and ready for An Evening With Clay Aiken. So far, Cheyanne and I plan to go to Philly and the NC 2fer, Cary and Asheville. I hope the remainder of the venues are announced soon!! I miss you all and look forward to our next reunion!!

Yeah, Cindy in PA came out of hiding!!!

I am loving the "hairy" look - I've always been partial to a man with longer hair/beard/mustache - as those who've seen my hubby can attest. He's always had a mustache - when I first met him, he had long hair, a beard and mustache - it was the late 60's - we were married several years before he finally shaved the beard, but I've never seen him without his 'stache! As much as I would love to see it, I'm sure this latest look will be gone by summer - dang!!!

The mpg downloads are fantastic - The Prayer - WOW - love it!!! If this a preview of what we can expect this summer, whoohoo, can't wait!

Missing everyone - July seems soooo far away - hopefully we can get together before then!

Okay how hot does that guy look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing else to say but, oh man I can't wait to see him this summer! Personally I hope he keeps the beard, it looks great!

I hope there is more Clack to come. Somone said that someone got the whole thing! Wish we could have been there.

Have a good week and a great Easter if I don't stop in before then. I plan to work a double on Easter to make Clay money. Not sure my legs will make it but anything for Clay, at least that is what I tell myself!

Love you all!

Just checking to see if everyone survived the Clack from the Gala Saturday night. Our boy has certainly changed.....is it the guarana he's drinking or does he need to cut back on the Paxil???? Either way he's become a real showman in addition to the best singer ever. I love the bearded face...he looks so handsome.
