| Mary! I know! I can't stop looking at it. You know, I was wondering if I still felt the same with all I feel as confusion surroundingl this baby news but who cares! The man is HAWT!!! :face: I'm patiently awaiting hanna the hurricane/tropical storm. It will hit us at around 2 a.m. tonight. 70 mpr winds and rain. I am at the NC coast but inland a few miles from the beach. We've been through this before a few times but it can be a leetle skeery all the same each time. Hoping the trees stay put! I may lose power but I'll check in tomorrow. The storm is moving fast and we should have sun by late afternoon. Latah gators for now........ |

| Joanne--I've got the photo as my desktop, and I just can't stop staring at it....the look in his eyes...Hannah's hand in his hair...oh God...Hannah's hand in his hair... oh if only that hand was mine!!! Aaarrrgh.....get me a bib I can't stop drooling. Anyone who thinks this man doesn't like women must be blind. And any red blooded woman who could look at this photo and not be stirred in all sorts of ways just needs her hormone levels checked. You're right Joanne--- he is HOT...as in smokin' hot!, as in fire up the barbecue hot...as in dial 911, we've got a four alarmer on our hands hot! |

| Geez Louise..... Joanne. I'm with Mary on posting some kind of warning before you place a photo like that before our eyes. How, how, how.....delicious!! It raises some thoughts for me about the fantasies I've always had....before baby.... for Clay. As in, wouldn't it be great if he and Hannah got together? - or what if he fell in love with that cute blond dancer from Spam who was always flirting with him and hugging him? I mean, this is bad when I don't even know how to fantasize for our BF anymore! If he and Jaymes are truly in a romantic, love relationship, then that is that. But if not, do you suppose he is still open to the idea of that kind of relationship with someone else? And if so, would having a baby with Jaymes make it difficult for him to become devoted to another person? Mind you, his relationship to his baby's mom is NONE of my beeswax and I have doubts he'll ever reveal it anyway, but my mind is veeery curious. Yep, I admit it, I'd like to know what's up with Clay and Jaymes....so when I look at photos like that one of him with Hannah, I'll know where and how to let my mind wander. (I already know where other parts of me would like to wander!!!) |

| Latest update: Hubby and I are in Biloxi, Ms. at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort. After five days of no power, sweltering in the heat, cooking everything in the freezer on a gas grill, and enduring the worst house guest I've ever had we decided to bail out for four days. The only problem is..... This is the worst storm in the history of Baton Rouge. You cannot go one block in any direction without seeing trees down in yards, across streets and in roofs. According to the power company my neighborhood was the worst hit in the entire parish (that's county to everyone else). The estimate for restoring power is three weeks. Now, we can only stay here for four days so we have to decide what we are going to do when we get home. If it sounds like I'm whinning...I am. I'm sorry. I know this will pass but right now we are all suffering. The lines for gas have been miles long. We were totally out of ice Wednesday. Two friends....(Would you believe friends I have met because of Clay?).found some and shared with us. One drove twenty five miles to bring me a bag of ice. The next morning another Clay friend left a bag in an ice chest on my carport before seven am. We were able to get several bags that evening. We are at the mercy of FEMA getting ice to distribution points. They are better than they were last storm but don't believe President Bush's news conferences....they ain't perfect by any means. I'm a pretty optimistic person normally so I will surely be more cheerful in my next post. |

| Joy I could have written your post. I feel the same. While its none of anyone's business, there is no denying that Clay and his fans are tied together in a business relationship that was built on knowing a lot about him. The AI machine made sure of the interviews on Ai2 and afterwards, with radio and tv interviews and a book. So not wanting to know NOW about his life is an adjustment. Quite honestly, yeah, I want to know what his relationship is too. I'm nosey. Shoot me. Maybe that picture speaks more of a romantic attraction OR he was tired and had some splainin' to do about the baby news she surely had heard by now. He wanted to face her and explain. JMHO. As for Jaymes, and especially the baby, I just don't think an open marriage is healthy for anyone. That is what really makes me sad if platonic is the case (which I don't think it is). But, he's nothing to me and me to him. His life, his choices, his mistakes and his successes. I will still adore many facets of him but I can allow myself to be a little disappointed too with him. Heck, why should he be any different than my kids?! Hahaha! Sometimes they disappoint me and sometimes I burst with pride! |

| mgm pat, I have been thinking about you all week, especially when I saw reports on the news about how badly Baton Rouge had been affected by the storm. I've been without electricity for a couple days but never longer than that, so I can't imagine how you are coping with it all! Wish we lived closer - you and your hubby would be more than welcome to stay with us until it was safe to go back home! Jennifer!!! I am sooooo sorry to hear you won't make it to Spamafest II! But, getting you back to 100% is most important - especially if Clay hits the road next summer - you need to be in tip top shape for that! Loved hearing about Charlie and his first day back to school - where, oh where, did the summer go??? Joy, Joanne and I had a very interesting discussion about that picture this afternoon - it reminds me about that old saying "A picture's worth a thousand words"! Joanne, please be safe and let us know that everything is okay and you made it through Hanna safely! Much love and huge hugs............... _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know Peace..........

| mgm pat--thanks for the update. Wish I was close enough to actually offer you some help. joy--my feelings about Clay and the possibility of future relationships is exactly the same. In fact I expressed that exact same sentiment somewhere...either here or on the purple pages...or privately to someone. I continue to refuse to believe he is in a romantic relationship with Jaymes unless they are secretly married. To be in a romantic relationship, having a baby, and NOT being married would be against everything that Clay has ever said about the subject. I realize one's views on life can change--but living with someone you care about rather than marrying them just seems like too much of a fundamental value to just toss aside. Hey--for LILA readers, Clay finally popped the question in the end. |

| MGM.....it sounds like a totally miserable situation that you are all enduring. It is just AWFUL to be without power for so long...like Cheyanne, the worst I've had to experience is maybe 2 or 3 days without, but three weeks??? I'd go bonkers. Do you have any friends or family that are within driving distance that could put you up during this time? Joanne....keep us posted on how you're doing with Hannah knocking at your door. Hopefully you'll experience rain and not much else..... We haven't heard from cha cha, Cindy or Dottie in a long time on these pages.....what's up ladies??? Happy to see Sharon in E drop by, but where are our other new members? |

| Shh!! Everyone should be sleeping, babies included!! Job responsibilities have changed, I now work 1PM til 10PM. I have been given the title of medications coordinator. I am also a licensed "practicum observer". Just a fancy name for someone who tests and observes staff med administration. I also audit the administration logs and prepare accuracy logs for each resident and staff member. I am now the contact between both homes and the pharmacy and check in med deliveries. I guess I am now the "Drug Lady"!! No more cooking, cleaning, laundry or settling fights between residents!! For the past several days, I have been feeling a bit down. Tonight the funniest thing happened and it really lifted my spirits!! The 5PM Med delivery guy has always joked around with me...he never knows at which house he will find me!! Tonight was different, he kept staring at my hands as I signed the delivery slips. We received all the medications for the next month for 42 residents and I always check in all of the controlled substances while he waits, but check in the balance of the prescriptions later. He kept teasing that he had to get going. I was just joking when I told him he could come back after he was done work to help me check in the rest of the meds. Out of the blue he asked how old I was and said that I had to be younger than him since he has an 18 yr old daughter. I never did reveal my age, but he is only 39!! Does this make me a cougar?? I am still laughing!! Big hugs to MGM and Joanne!! Stay safe and dry!! Jennifer, I will miss you at Spamfest II, but I am sure you will be there in spirit!! Who is going to Spam the final weekend? I miss you all!! |

| mgm - thanks for the update although it doesn't sound very promising for the next few weeks. Sure wish there was something I could do to help, you know if you decide to head north you have plenty of places to stay here in PA, including my house. Joanne - hope you are fairing better than mgm, we're getting lots of rain from Hanna right now which we need but fortunately none of the winds (at least not yet). Jennifer - we are certainly going to miss your bubbly personality at Spamfest II. Cindy - good to hear from you about your new job as the 'Drug Lady' - I can certainly see where the delivery guy was interested, there is no way you look older than 39. The pic - OMG!! what a lucky 'Lady of the Lake'. Does make you wonder about the relationship between Jaymes and Clay? But it's his life and as long as he is happy and not hurting anyone I don't even want to speculate. SPAM - I'll be there for opening night and the last 2 shows. Miss you all . . . see some of you in less than 2 weeks at the _________________ We Came for the Voice and Stay for the Man

| Checking in.... First and Foremost........ {{{{ mgmpat}}} Rain has started in earnest now, apparently the worst is expected this afternoon. As long as we don't lose power all will be OK. I've stacked the deck furniture against the leeward rail of the deck(whatever that means... ) and moved all the soakable things away from the sump pump well area! Pat sent me to the store yesterday for canned soup, fruit and fresh batteries. The hatches are battened!! According to the reports the storm is at the NC border now. We are about 150 miles from there, and it's moving quickly or so they say. It'll be in NJ this afternoon after it leaves here! Isn't this thing going to run out of steam anytime soon??? Meanwhile.... I think I have some junk mail to shred! SPAM - I will be at the opening show, and closing two shows. Joy - I have been away from the boards and I wanted to say I loved the scenario for Graham and Elizabeth's wedding! I hope you have lots of pictures to share. Cindy - you go gurrl!!! to all!! I'll check back in a few hours if we have power!! eta: larger version of THE PHOTO... _________________ . . where I am now, on my way here, I've learned to fly I have to want to leave the ground...
