| The kissing booth definitely needs a price list. You guys can get a peck on the cheek, but I would pay some big bucks for some tongue. LOL!!!! I am getting all squiggy ( tm Patti)thinking about it. BTW what happened on ET?

| Just to let you all know I CAN SEE - cataract and iris implant surgery was 'picture perfect' per the Doc. Actually the worst part this week was catching Patti's bloody cold . . . I'm more miserable with that than any surgery and post-op. Joy - also thrilled and quite moved by the landslide election results. Watched Obama's first press conference this afternoon (one of the perks of having the day off recovering). Be sure to catch it tonight on one of the news channels. The next 70+ days are still going to be tough, like Obama said, we only have one President at a time. Love our little 'whore' asking for donations again . . . hope they can come up with something where more can participate at a lower price that involves Clay and the cast - I vote for a HUGGING booth. Anybody know when the drive is over? Won't be going again until Dec. 6. _________________ We Came for the Voice and Stay for the Man

| Hi Patti I was wondering if it was you who asked about the DWTS!!!BWAH! Was it really a landslide?? "GObama!" Love our widdle "ho" too! My mind went right to a "pay for a kiss on the cheek with a pic of it" fundraiser. Wha? bringing this over from CV from the CB:QUOTE David Foster was on Gayle King radio show today. Toward the end she asked him about Clay & Jaymes and what he thought about it. David doesn't talk about Clay and his talent I guess because he does not represent him; however he talks briefly about Clay and Jaymes being great parents. I removed the link -- I just assumed the entire David Foster segment would be on the audio. I listen to Gayle King every morning on my 45-minute commute to work. I cannot remember everything he said. Here's what I do remember: Gayle asked what he thought about his sister Jaymes and Clay having a child together. He said it is their lives and it was a little strange in the beginning. When Jaymes (not sure if Clay was there) told David what they were planning to do he said he cautioned them to think about it thoroughly however he said Jaymes had her mind set and nothing was going to change it. David said they are both consenting adults and both are great parents. He said he was amazed at how Jaymes recovered so quickly from a C-section at age 50. He and Gayle conversed a little about Clay coming out and she said she couldn't understand why it took him so long. David said it was his way and that was ok to do it when he wanted to do it. He said he knows people in their 70's that still haven't come out. If I remember more -- I'll post [/quote] + |

| Anni I forgot to add that I am tha-rilled with the outcome of you eye surgery!!!! I had a very bad scare last year with narrow angle glaucoma and almost lost my sight. They caught it just in time and I had a simple procedure that puts me in a good 40% of the population now. It has to be watched but I'm good. I can tell you that the eye problem scared me more than the 30+ days I spent in the hospital in December! Eyes are a treasure. |

| Anni, glad your surgery went well for you. I had my eyes examined yesterday and the doctor detected possible glaucoma, also. I have to have more extensive testing done on Monday. I'm a little apprehensive to say the least. Joanne, I'm glad to hear you were able to have yours treated with a procedure. Eyes are so precious. |

| {{{{{{Anni & Joanne}}}}}}So glad you both have had very successful eye procedures. I could not even imagine life without sight....it puts me in a panic state just thinking about it! And now, I have some bad news and some good news! Bad news first: I was at a FYE store and WalMart today to buy a CD for a friend....and neither store had any Clay Aiken CDs anywhere. I hunted high and low and finally asked the sales clerk - but they don't even have the little cardboard separators with his name on them. After looking at names I haven't even thought about in years, and seeing band names like "Jethro and the next space" (what????), it depressed me beyond words that Clay was not there anywhere. OK....I know CD sales are way down, but how can all these totally obscure people have CDs there, but not a one from Clay? Not even his name anywhere. It made me want to cry. Good news second: non Clay related My son Graham called me last night to tell me I am going to be a grandmother!!!!! (Keeping with family tradition on my side of the family, the little one will have to call me "Nanny.") He and new wifey got pregnant after just 4 weeks of marriage - not thrilled that they didn't wait a much longer while, esp. since they are both working minimum wage jobs and have nothing - but hey, it's a fait accompli and they are very happy about it, so I will be too. I'm still in shock that I have a son who's married, so thank the stars that I have 9 months to get used to the idea of a baby. Geeez......who said I was old to be a grandmother???? ETA: Hi Patti! I'm stunned by my son's news.....and I hope you're feeling better!!! |

| Joy, congrats on the new baby. Don't worry...we had our first baby ten months to the day after we were married. We had no money...but a whole lot of love. Those things tend to work themselves out. As for Clay....I'm wondering if he really isn't with RCA anymore and they have pulled all of his cd's. I don't know how any of that works but everything they've done with him has been so screwy. Last night J.H. and I were in the car when what should come on the radio? Clay Aiken, that's who! He was on our ClearChannel station that NEVAH plays him. What's even better it was O Holy Night. The few times I have heard him during the holidays it is usually Silver Bells with KLo. |

| from the CB re the Broadway Cares fundraising: | Quote: | | The pictures are only $50 this time and come with an autographed frame. They are taken with Clay, Rick, and Tom all together. Jerome told everyone in line, about 60 fans, there was to be no pinching of the butt-cheeks! |
OMG, cha cha, looks like we put that idea in his head and he hasn't forgotten......ha! |

| Good Morning! I'm still here - just not here! Haven't had much time in the past two weeks to be online - up to my eyeballs in RL! And, I don't have much time this morning to say more than "HI" - I'm off to see my our boyfriend today, we (my coworker, Ellen) are going to the matinee. Just caught a quick look at this page, didn't have time to go beyond that, but Anni, I am sooooo glad the surgery was successful. When you told us about it on our trip, it sounded very scary to me, I'm glad it's over and everything is okay now. Oh, Joy, what wonderful news - congratulations! Your son and DIL appear to have a great deal of support from family and friends for their wedding, I'm sure it will continue! Okay, gotta go get ready - can't wait! Miss you all bunches and bunches!!! Much love and huge hugs to all......................... _________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know Peace..........

| Thanks for all the well wishes and I'm verre verre glad it's over . . . using 5 different drops 3X a day and no makeup for a few days. I should be out cleaning up leaves, can nary see a blade of grass but they will have to wait until next weekend for it's a very dirty job. Although not officially diagnosed with glaucoma, my chronic uveitis does elevate the pressure in my eye, ergo, 2 of the drops I take everyday. Yep, eyes are nothing to take for granted. Joy - congratulations, wow, this board will be bloomin' with new Grandkids soon! Patti - I can kind of breathe now cause it's migrating to my chest. That is one heck of a cold strain . . . hope you start feeling better soon. Hearing Clay - forgot to mention that last weekend when filling up the gas tank at WAWA's "A Thousand Days" came on their music mix piped all over the store and outside. It was a smile inducing moment and I never felt happier pumping gas. Anybody know how long the $60 pics are being taken, oops, just read on the CB they went to $100? I would love to get one with that trio. Cheyanne - have a great time at Spamalot! _________________ We Came for the Voice and Stay for the Man

| Joy I am so happy for you, congrats on being a "soon to be grandmother". Wow the grandkids on here will take over soon! Cheyanne, good to see you here! We missed you, and yes I hope you get a picture too! Who can resist standing next to that man for a picture. At least it is a lot cheaper this time. Anni, I think I saw that December 7th is the last day, but that may be wrong. Usually Spam only does 2 weeks of the Broadway Cares but maybe they are doing a full month like the other shows this time! That means we may have a shot at a pic with Clay again! I wonder if Beth will do it? I will have to tell her about it. We are going on the 6th so hopefully it will still be running! Anni, I am sorry you got that cold, I still don't have much of a voice and am still very congested but I feel okay..worst cold I have had in years! Spent a fortune this week on all kinds of cold medicine.....damn! Hope the other wonderful ladies here are well! |

| Anni So glad to hear your operation went well! But isn't this cold a b*tch? I've got it too, but starting to feel better today. I think I sneezed non stop for 24 hours. Hoping not to catch the other malady running through the house since it involves running to the bathroom. Patti I can't believe I caught your cold since hubby had it last month and I didn't get it. But I think it's the same one cause it lasts a really long time. Joy Congratulations on the baby news!! As far as I can tell there's never a perfect time to have a baby, but when it arrives it all works out. Heard the Clay pics went up from $50 to $100. Maybe they'll lower the price for the weekday shows. I've done nothing the past 2 days but watch the home imprvement channel, Dr. 90210 and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I'm ready to design my house to sell, move to Atlanta, and have plastic surgery. _________________ ...and the wisdom to know the difference
