Apparently these plays are written by this one women who has done these for years .I will find that website, yes they seem strickly amatuer but that does mean the intent is not genuine. Some of the other shows will be at local places near here. One is a "fire house" so you know it is amatuer but again does not mean it is not sincere. I am going to check it out and if I can make one I will go just out of curiosity, hey she might be a fan, you never know. Might be fun. Who knows.......

Okay goodnight dear Clay and my Clay friends........love you all!
Funny today at work one of the waitresses said, "Patti..you have to get another interest besides Clay", but then I wouldn't have all of you. They just don't get it do they?

Hope all of you are well and dry!

Bringing this over. Get a hankie. I don't know why, but Hannah popped into my mind when I watched this. *edited to add that this is a montage with clips from Casablanca done to Sacrificial Love...sniff...

Hey all...glad the rain has stopped for most of you. Here's hoping 'cane season ends early this year.

I have been busy going through a moving inventory list in preparation for making damage claims and I noticed that item #336 was 2 crotches. I guess that would be Dale's and mine but with Lucky we had three. But we weren't traveling in the truck so maybe they meant crutches. Only one of those made it here. Here is my dilemma- do I make a claim for a missing crutch or a "crotch"? I must see humor in this moving process whenever possible.

Re:Hannah and Clay pic...JMO... I think from the angle, Hannah was taking the pic and she was going after a pic exactly like that... joking around. She probably said "look like we just ...."( what ever the British euphemism for IT is) and I will put it on my website. We'll cause a bloody stir for sure."
Have you ever seen him not smiling from ear to ear when he gets a "friendly" camera in his face? (oh yeah except for that one with the McV girl) Love that he has so many different friends everywhere.
I love him and can't wait until next week when we start hearing stories again.

pat - the word for IT is 'shag.' And I wondered also if the camera was at the end of Hannah's arm... but her right hand is in Clay's hair!

Joanne....OMG, I'd forgotten how utterly innocent and gorgeous and transcendent Ingrid was in that film! What an amazing actress she was! I am inspired to rent that film now....I haven't watched it in years and I can't even remember why they had to separate at the end. cha cha...wanna watch it with me on the 20th?

Here is my dilemma- do I make a claim for a missing crutch or a "crotch"? BWAH, Pat!!!! I think you should make it for the crotch....I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the moving company reads that!

the question is.... where is Clay's hand???

joy - sure!! I haven't watched that for a long time!!

I just looked it up on imdb - Ingrid was only 26-27 when that film was made.

In the end they separated because "our problems don't count for a hill of beans, and if you don't get on that plane, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life." (or something like that.)

Here's looking at you , kid. Smile

Or maybe we should ask, judging by the look on Clay's face...just where is Hannah's left hand?
Oh---how I've missed the lechery. It's nice to see it flowing once again!

Pat..I say GO FOR THE CROTCH!

Casablanca a great movie and "As Time Goes By" was just perfect for this movie too. Ingrid Bergman now there was a classy lady, one of my favorite actresses of all time.

And where else would her hand be, but on that beautiful bum of his? And yeah Hannah would definitely say "shag" for sure! I say Clay is holding the camera or someone else. Hannah's hands were too busy and who could blame her!

Sorry to interrupt the leachery but this was a good post from the ClayBoard about Spam without Clay.....

Shubert staff missing Clay and the Clay fans indeed.I was in NYC and checked out Spamalot on Sunday 8/24/08.Business is really slow. The orchestra's last 3 rows on both sides were empty.Only the first few rows in the mezzanine were occupied.I did not see the balcony.I tallked to the ushers on intermission and they are all excited for Clay and his fans return.
How was the show? The energy of this particular Sunday audience was really low.Polite applause here and there,no standing ovation at the end of curtain call.Stage door consisted of one small barricade with about 6-8 people waiting. These are my impressions of the current players:

Stephen Collins(King),Drew Lachey(Patsy) and LOL(Marin Mazzie) are now the stars of the show.Stephen and Drew were good and Marin has a great voice but none of Hannah's comedic timing or flair.

Robert Petkoff(Sir Robin) is now relegated to the 6th supporting player behind the King,LOL,Patsy,Rick and Bradley.Sir Robin does not sing the Idle song,no yodel song,no Spam song and no long glory note on top of the piano. He does play Sir Robin according to the script and does not have Clay's great comedic timing and physical comedy. To his advantage,he plays the piano well and he projects his voice well when speaking.
His solo number"You won't succeed on Broadway" was not well received. There was a few awkward silence then a lukewarm polite applause. In
the guard scene.Drew playing guard no.2 ,plays it sober and almost steals the scene by hilariously blowing on his spear's ribbons while the King was patiently looking on.

Rick,Tom and Bradley are in their usual great performances but seems "low key" due to the absence of audience's energy. So Clay fans the Shubert is waiting for us and Clay.See you there at the opening Sept 19th.

That is really amazing Patti. The show sounds really deadly dull without Clay and us! Having worked in the theatre, I feel very badly for the cast, trying to do their best but getting so little response from the audience. Performing really does feel like a thankless job when audiences don't appreciate what you're doing.

Yep....let's bring it on ladies!! On the 19th and right through to January! We'll show them once again the definition of enthusiastic.

Some great Clay pics - scroll around and enjoy http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=98539316

Pat - love your moving humor, I vote for the 'crotches', let them squirm and hopefully you'll never need the 'crutches' again anyway.

Spamalot - the cast must be thrilled that Clay is coming back, I expect they will be in top form for opening night. Can't wait, only 11 days until the ClayNation invasion skyline

Ladies - left hand definitely on the ass, just look at that happy smirk!

mgm - hang in there, we love ya gold star

P.S. Time to change the avatar to SPAM

You know I'm looking at that picture just now and I'm thinking in order for her to get her right hand in his hair (which is a little intimate) she had to go under his left arm (unless her arm is like 9 feet long or something! Hahaha!) She's leaning--he's accepting. Thats some comfy body language.

His relationships sure confuse me!

Pat Tell them its Clay's crutch crotch. Maybe they'll send you a M & G ! lol!
