| Joy thanks for the link to those pics. I took my camera but the few I took were awful. So dark. Thanks about my recap. By the time I got home most of the details were "out there". My impressions were just of the warmth of the whole setting. It was fun. It was intimate as I think barely 200 were there. I really felt a tug at my heart when he left the room for the last time. on a happy note, I burned the songs from GFI and they are beautimous! |

| Joanne.. I was wondering was the room mostly filled with Clay fans or were there golfers there? What was the impression of the NJU's in the room? I was just wondering because I always love to hear how people discover Clay's special talent who are not fans. Any details? _________________ The man owns my heart!

| HURRAY!!! I can finally go back to work, starting Sunday. In some ways I've enjoyed being home...but for most of the time I was either in too much pain and/or too drugged to enjoy any of it. I've only been allowed to drive for a week, so I've been stuck in the house during the daytime for the past few weeks even though I felt well enough to go out a bit. My DH and I went to another movie today. We went to see "Taken" with Liam Neeson. If any of you like edge of your seat thrilling action, you will definitely enjoy this (and having Liam Neeson on the screen for 90% of the movie ain't bad either!!). |

| Mary, I'm so glad you are improved and can go back to work. Now, take it easy...as much as you can. I hope that condition you had is gone for good. Joanne, thanks for sharing....it comes across very clearly from your post that you love Clay as much, if not more, as always. Cheyanne and Jennifer where the heck are you two? Christmas is over...come on back and visit..please? We miss you. |

| patti--I really don't watch America's Got Talent, but for whatever reason, I was watching during this guy's first audition. And I thought he was very good. In listening to the youtube link...like you, I like the slow pace...but when it comes to the actual voice and presentation...it's Clay all the way for me...he just touches my soul like no one else can when he sings that song. |

| So much to catch up on . . . downloaded some of the vids on the Ideal Idol (have yet to watch), saw some of the pics and just read the 'Measuring the Man' article. Still in my PJ's taking a 'veg' day, slept 12 hrs last night and still tired, caught another cold in CA, came home Thurs night to the deep freeze in my house, furnace had conked out sometime during the week but "All is Well" now. Welcome Penny, I'm a regular here and 'adopted' Broad who lives in Reading PA. Patti - what would we do without you? We wouldn't have the latest news or one of the best friends anyone could hope for _________________ We Came for the Voice and Stay for the Man

| Patti There were a lot of fans there but many golfers as well. I think there were 8 teams that golfed and I believe most came to the dinner. I had two women at my table that golfed and I think they were fans as well. One golfed quite well and won an award for longest drive. I talked mostly to fans but I did read a post where a NJU said you could feel the love in the room! MgmPat I do truly love this man. I can't explain it. Can any of us? I lurves him as much as you can love someone you don't really know. He gives us so much, has given us so much over the last 5 + years. He's a good man. Maryin MD So happy you are well enough to get back to the grind! HI Anni! Welcome cpina! |

| Hang in there Mary! Got to be tough to get back in the groove. As much as I complain about my job, right now I am REALLY thankful to have one (okay 2)! Really getting scary out there. I know our business is down and there will be layoffs coming in the late spring. Fingers crossed, no one is safe in these uncertain times no matter how valuable you think you are! Okay took advice from some of you and have tried to branch out to other boards. Been trying to catch up on CV, wow it is a lot to read. Seems like pretty postive people there! Have never been on CH much but will try that one. Anything to keep me occupied while waiting for Mr. Aiken! Honestly I love it hear..we can always keep each other up with news but it is not so much to read! By the way did you see that Clay flew up to DC on the 30th. Who knows whether it was a just a stop and on to other places or a meeting. Apparently Reed was in Florida too, Joanne was he at the Golf outing? " That's all folks!" P.S. I am not going anywhere you guys, just don't want to be a post hog! Stopping here is just part of my day and saying hi to all of you, I love you guys so much and of course my Dear Clay! |

| The REALLY scary part about my job, is that while I've been out sick these past seven weeks, our bank was sold to M&T. So none of us will know if we have jobs, or where we will be working, or what we will be paid once the takeover totally goes through. Information is supposed to be given out by March 2...it's going to be a long, long four weeks. |

| Where is everyone????? I am posting a part of an interview with Kelly Clarkson. It is on Ideal Idol but will just post the part about Clay...very nice her comments about Clay.. I love that they remain good friends! I also love that he took the time to call her and warn her that there might be calls about his coming out. Your friend and former tourmate Clay Aiken recently came out of the closet. What is your reaction to that? Did you have any conversations with him prior to his declaration?
I was actually on vacation when I found out. He called and he just said, “You’ll probably get a lot of calls about this, but I just wanted to give you a heads up." I honestly don’t care if he is gay or isn’t gay, and I don’t care if he tells people or doesn’t tell people. I’m not friends with him for either of those reasons. If I’m a fan of an artist, I don’t really care if you’re gay or not gay, as long as you’re making cool music.
Have you met his son, Parker, yet?
Oh, yeah! I went to actually see [Clay] in 'Spamalot' in New York. Me and my manager and some friends met [Parker]. A lot of my friends work with Clay, as well -- it’s kind of a tight-knit group. _________________ The man owns my heart!
