AI - this week , as in past weeks, I really liked Anoop. He also looked very hot in that suit and pink sweater. I think Kris Allen is very talanted and so is Adam, even though I don't like most of his performances. Danny I just don't get at all. The thing is, no one really stands out and as a whole I find the group pretty boring. On the other hand - they can all really sing perfectly - just perfectly boring. Clay just spoiled it for me.

Patti, I hope your trip to Disney helps. When you get back we'll all be aunts to a new little kitty. Bet your new kitty gets here before Pat's grandkiddy.

Just for the record..in a recent interview with Ruben..he said he "did not watch Idol!" They only make it a big deal that Clay said it. But is seems other past contestants don't either. Like several articles I read this week, the press is not enjoying the pro/am focus of Idol either. They miss the days of a waitress from Texas like Kelly and a geeky Teacher like Clay..rise to the occasion! Me too!!!!!!!

Kelly sang as well as waitressed in a bar. Clay and Carrie sang with a band, even Ruben had a band...Jennifer Husdon sang on a cruise ship etc etc There aren't many that got into the top 4 or 5 each year that didn't have some professional singing on their resume.

You may be right Pat but I wouldn't call local bands a point of professional success. Just a starting point to gain experience. Certainly Kelly, Ruben, Carrie, Clay and many of the rest had church and local exposure but that is a far cry from NY or LA exposure to their credit. But who knows........I just enjoy the fun......

So..Clay went to LA yesterday! Was seen on the plane.

Soooo....I think it's totally great that Clay has been answering fans' questions for about 3 hours over at the OFC. But lordy, I can't even begin to figure out how to wade through 98 pages (so far) to find his answers!!! I have read about 15 of his answers, though, and he is being very honest and open. And the stuff I'm learning? Like the fact that Raleigh snores? Can't live without knowing......

I'm also thinking that he must be terribly bored tonight to be doing this.

one question was that Josh Gracin said when they roomed together during AI that Clay sang in his sleep...does he still do that?

Wow what an interesting night with Clay! Answering so many questions. Funny that he did not play Love Me Tender at all on the JBT tour. It was pre-recorded. Did any of you participate tonight? He gave just us the song "Just You" but did ask for donations to BA foundation. He is LA with Jaymes. I read through 159 pages of Q&A. Good stuff!

Okay--I've read through the "purple parts" of 160 pages, and Clay answered about 100 questions, and he did indeed go out with a bang. He's left a downloadable link of the song "Just You" on his blog. I'm listening now, and it is really beautiful. Go now and download!

He was back on today! He is really trying to keep us entertained until such time as news breaks. It certainly means a lot that he takes this kind of time.

Gawd, how I love Clay Aiken!!! The Q & A "event" was simply wonderful - that, along with the song download, was really a lovely gift from the man. I donated to BAF to show my gratitude; even without the song, I prolly would have donated if he'd asked, just to show my love and appreciation for him spending so much time with us and answering so many questions honestly.

I felt he was incredibly candid. We got to see all the things about Clay that we love - his intelligence, snarkiness, empathy, sense of humor, caring - the whole bag.

I didn't post my question though 'cuz I know that the Mods would have just deleted it as "inappropriate." My question: "Even though it's been 6 years - and you are now a dad - and I know you're gay - would you mind too much if I pushed you up against a wall and had my way with you?" (Whaaaat???) Yep, I'd still do the man, anytime, anyplace.

Me too Joy.......he is the most interesting man, I would love to have few stolen moments with him! In my dreams for sure!


All those hours on line to connect to us..he needs us..how comforting. And yes we need him....just so exited because I think there is so much to look forward to.................
